I am absolutely thrilled to announce that we will make our debut at the incredible Cape Town Decorex this June!
Whether you're an industry professional, about to redecorate or simply adore top-quality, groundbreaking, beautiful decor and design, Decorex will knock your socks off: “Africa’s leading decor and design platform showcases more than 230 of the most dynamic and creative companies on the continent."
I entered on a whim last year, and was quite astonished to be invited to showcase. We were very, VERY lucky to have also gotten funding for the event from SEDA (Small Enterprise Development Agency). This agency does amazing work to support entrepreneurship and facilitate the development of small enterprises by providing customised business support and sustainability.
From 6-9 June in the beautiful CTICC, we will be showcasing my wildlife art (watercolour originals and limited edition, fine art prints) and the South African Animal Alphabet in a vibrant, earthy, gallery-style unit. But, our hand-crafted Wooden Animal Masks (a labour of love created by myself and my amazing carpenter husband, Alex) are sure to be the crowd favourite! We have high hopes for these incredibly unique, beautifully-made creatures, and we’re currently working on broadening the range to include large, free-standing sculptures. I cannot tell you how excited we are about this…!
As with our wall art masks, these sculptures will also be crafted using ‘upcycled’ wood and individually hand-painted. But the ingenuity and quality of the artistry will be next level……..! How apt to launch this product at Decorex - the home of design that pushes boundaries!
