I am absolutely thrilled to share that my Aardvark painting, "Almost Home", recently placed second in an international online watercolour competition hosted by WASA (Watercolour Art Southern Africa) and juried by an esteemed panel of experts.
As part of the prize, "Almost Home" will soon travel all the way to beautiful Ballito, where it will be featured in an awesome group exhibition in The Gallery, Ballito Lifestyle Centre. Woohoo!!!
There were so many incredible entries, and I feel tremendously lucky and humbled... It is especially wonderful, since I've committed to painting more than ever this year and putting my work 'out there'. This honour serves as confirmation that perseverance and passion pays off.
Even though it's certainly not the driving force behind what I do, I'm not going to lie - a gentle pat on the back never hurts! It has gifted me a new-found energy to work even harder, and I'm really excited to keep producing art.
